Books no longer downloaded
I have downloaded and started reading a book. when I go back later the book is not available and needs to be downloaded again. Why is this happening?

Try hard resetting your kindle to rule out a software issue. Hard resetting your kindle will erase all of it’s settings and data. Back up all of your data before proceeding.
- Starting with the Kindle Fire off, press and hold “Volume Down” and “Power” simultaneously.
- The Amazon system recovery screen should appear. Use the volume buttons to toggle the selection to “wipe data/factory reset“.
- Press the “Power” button to choose the selection.
- Use the volume buttons to toggle the selection to “Yes — delete all user data“.
- Press “Power“
