Surface Pro 3 Not booting from Recovery USB

Hey guys, Im in need of some assistance. I have a Surface Pro 3 that I was trying to reset using the recovery USB I created. I know the USB works because I used it to reset an identical Surface Pro 3 with the same Bios settings as this one.

When I boot from the USB on this particular Pro 3, it comes up with a Surface Screen with the spinning icon, than goes right to a black screen. In this black screen, the keyboard lights up when I press a key and the backlight is on, but there is nothing on the screen.

The only thing I have been able to boot from is an ubuntu USB. I tried the microsoft disk erase tool and that had the same black screen problem.
