A couple years back I factory reset my phone and put it away on the shelf because I got a new phone however now when I plug it in, the light blinks orange and it wont turn on.Ive tried the key combinations many times but no luck. what could possibly be the problem when the phone was in perfectly good shape when I stopped using it?

Usually just a dead flat battery, these can take around a hour to get them to at least show the charging screen while plugged into a charger.

if i can get it to charge will it charge normally from then on or will it always take long to carge and also, why did this happen?
It'll charge normally, it's best not to leave it flat for like 6 months because they take a really long time to just get it working as the battery becomes dead flat / dormant.
i left mine for 24 hours to charge still the same
