iPhone XR Not Charging

I Have iPhone XR which does not charge :

Device does not have any warranty because it has display replaced out of the apple. Charging was working before but suddenly stopped working.

  1. Its detected in itunes , recently updated to new IOS.
  2. I tried to change battery with no luck.
  3. Tried different charging port. still no luck.
  4. swapped logic board to another working device but still same issue.

Now i am sure its logic board issue. Is it something DIY repair at home ? i do have micro-soldering equipments.

You will most likely have to replace the Hydra IC “U6300” That’s the chip that decides if it is safe to charge the phone. I am not sure how difficult it is on the XR as I haven’t had to replace one yet.

I went to repair guy with your solution , he tried to change the IC but given up at last saying that he needs DEAD Approval to repair this problem because CPU is near to that U6300.

Your repair guy knows the consequences of putting heat around the CPU but we will have to work out a technique to safely replace these chips as it will likely be one of the most common faults as more people start using faulty cables and car chargers to charge there phones.

I have the same problem. Did your shown charging ico when connect to charger?

XR instant voltage 3.81V not charging. Same with the boot voltage 3.81V. 

The instant voltage should be 3.85V when connect with charging cable/charger so it will charge. The voltage is too low.

When connect to charger via charging port or via wireless pad, the charging ico (battery with lightning ico) did show up, meaning the phone in charging mode, it will looking normal charging but the battery juice will not increase.
