Oneplus 5T - Motherboard FPC pin Problem!

I've had this oneplus 5T where I cracked its screen(intentionally… /face-palm), tried fixing it myself, ended up in a total failure and this is how I ended up damaging the motherboard pin, where the USB cable connects.

Now I took a calm approach, and want to fix it again, I have all the necessary tools, but I have 0 soldering skills, so please check the images, and tell if it's possible, and give me some guides or something… thank you

If someone have a dead oneplus 5t I would like to try to change this fpc connector practice make men perfect so if anyone have fully dead phone or motherboard issue let me know will try fix it. If it gets fixed it’s free for you.

have the same issue. Where have you found the parts..?.. which website you buy FPC connector..?

100% That is possible to fix, practice in another phone for parts, if you purchased all that stuff you can purchase a phone for practicing. Until you do a clean job you can do it on your good phone.

With a Soldering pen with angle on the tip and enough flux you can do a good job.

@conlledo This was my main phone 2 years ago, now I want to resurrect it, I've watched a lot of guides on this, and I will try and do it on this phone, with extreme patience.

I dont have have the Flux from my bag of tools but I've already ordered it, and also waiting for the pin to come, I will definitely give an update soon.

Find a board, any old board (Computer, Toy etc) and try to remove and put back components that helps to know your soldering pen. also does the soldering pen has temperature control?

That's a very good tip, and yes the soldering has a temperature control, 300 and something should be used from my understanding, no?

That you see the FPC is a plastic piece, and if the tip is too hot you can destroy it, so you have to choose the right temperature and right tip to complete the job.

I've had only problems with this phone, mine was never the same, I repaired it, I've sent it to oneplus for a trade in Programm and they never responded back…

To answer your question, I found it on a UK website but it costs 16£…

To give you a friendly advice, never settle.
