Speaker not functioning (broken capacitor)

Hi, my GBASP speaker was not functioning recently and I noticed that it was due to the broken capacitor (fall off from the mainboard). I planning to get a replacement capacitor but I don't know the specification of the capacitor that the GBASP is using. Is it the SMD capacitor 100uf 16V suitable ?

Update (01/15/2020)

Herewith the picture of the capacitor and the spec written on it. This picture actually grabbed from google, the spec written on my broken cap was exactly same except the bottom one, which mine was written IO4.

Hi!

The easiest way is to order a capacitor set exclusive for the GBA SP. Be sure that you search for the SP as the (normal) GBA uses other capacitors (100uf 6V - 4V). Sometimes the specification is written on the cap it self, is there no info at it? You could also sent some pics if you want.

It was difficult to get SP cap kit out there nowadays, the market mainly selling the cap kit for the GBA, the spec of my broken cap showing 100 in top line (i assume it mean 100uf), 4s in second line (not sure is it meant for the voltage) and bottom line showing 2PD (not sure what it meant as well). You may refer my question (edited) for the pic of the cap. Thanks for your reply.

Check the following webpage: https://gbatemp.net/threads/gba-sp-ags-0...

Scroll all the way down and you will see some pictures regarding the GBA SP motherboard. On his cap is written: "f3 100 4V".

Guess you need a 100uf 4V cap :)

100 refers to capacitance value in uF

4 refers to the rated voltage in Volts

s is the series identification

2PD is the lot number
