Harmon Kardon Soundsticks II Speaker Impedance

Need to ask if anybody knows the impedance rating of each of the eight (8) one (1) inch speakers on the Harmon Kardon Soundsticks II? Is it 4 Ohms or 8 Ohms? Looked every where without success and good grief even Harmon Kardon don’t even know!! If anybody also knows a good source to replace them please share that info.

All;

Found out the speakers are 8 Ohms impedance. Ordered 8 on eBay from a company in China and installed them within 60 minutes. Soundsticks II never sounded better. There are plastic 4 clips holding down each speaker and care must be taken. Best to use a small screwdriver to gently push one clip away from the speaker housing while pulling up and using a finger to push away the adjacent clip as well. Bonus: Each speaker removed has a very powerful permanent magnet that I now use as a fancy decoration piece.

I need to replace one of the speakers in one of my sticks. It's started to degrade. Do you mind sharing who you bought from off ebay? Thanks!

I have ordered replacement speaker from 3 different sources, all from China, and they all sound so tinny and lack any depth I find them unusable. What source did you use to get speakers that worked?

Here’s a lot of info about a Soundsticks (not a Soundsticks II) that may help.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Driver Speakers link.

In there it states (and shows in the images) that the speakers are 8 Ohm

There is a part # 300-0019-002 on the speaker but I got no results when searching using it, unless you can read German which I think leads here as a substitute but you better double check it

The link to the German speaker substitute is not good. These speakers will not fit well, as the housing assembly is not compatible. The other link you provided was very helpful to view the whole assembly and to view the speakers and find out the speaker impedance. The replacement speakers I found on eBay from a company in China have the perfect replacement part and that is the route anyone should consider taking to replace the speakers. Speakers cost about $8.99 for a pair, so for $36, you can rebuild the speakers and make your Soundsticks II, sound brand new again. Make sure when you order, you state you want 8 ohms impedance because the company in China also sells the same speaker assembly with 4 Ohms impedance.
