1 Dark screen, completely off
Dark screen, hour long charging, pushing the buttons, connecting to PC does not help.
Device remains off.
Checked recommendations in various forums,nothing helps.
Any special idea ?

Did you, by chance, go ANYWHERE Near Water. That's what did mine in,…. for a few days. First it got glitchy, then unresponsive,…. then BLACK!
The reason; I SHOWERED, *being careful with H2O exposure. ♤ I know that they suggest not getting it wet and immediately drying it off if you do, HOWEVER (@LEAST I'm MY manual), …they also stated in their information this is water resistant to 50 meters.! At FIFTY meters underwater there is pretty high pressure. *that's about 165ft deep for us NAs. I'm just saying!

I forgot to close with... on day 4 of Blackscreen, I dropped it , it hit PERFECTLY on a concrete step, and despite a top end screen shield, there is still a sizely rim of glass around the perimeter left uncovered..... aaannnddd..... CRACK. Broken *so NOW it has returned to functioning, sensors wise, but no interaction with it is possible. What a joke, ..my luck! (♧I don't believe in that stuff). I guess I'll be looking for a new screen , sometime.
Wait. But isn't the Versa 2 good for water?? I mean there is a swim function on it - please explain how a shower and a swim differs? Beyond the usage of soap, I mean.

I swim and shower with mine and have had it for around 1.5 yrs and now has began to do the same. First the screen was sorta frozen and now blackness.

Bought to use in swimming pool, one week before lockdown happened. Went for first swim in 2 years a week ago, went dead, nothing works, gets hot on charging and Fitbit say out of warranty even though technically its never been used in the water before a week ago. Tried a restart nothing, it's completely dead.

I used to buy spares or repairs fitbits on eBay, repair them and then sell them on. I found that if the display stayed black one of the connectors on the board had come loose. Reseating it usually solved the problem.
