How do I replace a top screen lens?

I bought my new 3ds a few years back and its always had a spec of dust in the screen lens and it's also scratched, how do I take the old screen lens out and put a new one in? Also where do I find a glass top screen lens, or would a self adhesive screen protector work for a screen lens?
