N2000: Shutter Speed Problem.

I recently just got an old N2000 from a local seller. Cleaned it up and added new batteries. I noticed that the shutter speed is the same throughout the dial. I get the same firing sound when shooting at 1/8 compared to 1/2000. Anyone know how to fix this or has anyone experienced this before?

Did you ever figure out the issue Luke? I’m having the same problem with my N2000 and I can’t find a solution anywhere! The camera is in absolutely perfect shape otherwise, looks brand new in every way.
