I was on a school bus and I spilt water on my blazer and it got on my phone and it still works I can hear notifications and when people call me but the screen is completely black so I wanted to know if I could fix it myself, or if I had to get someone to fix it how much would it cost? Thank you.

The impurities in the water causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the phone's operating design and could damage the components. The corrosion starts immediately and is ongoing until it is completely cleaned away
First do not try to charge or to turn on your phone and then remove the battery as soon as possible from the phone to minimize any further damage.
Then you need to dis-assemble the rest of the phone and clean all the affected parts using Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ (available at electronics parts stores) to remove all traces of corrosion and water. If possible do not use "rubbing alcohol" as in some cases this is only 70% IPA or less, can contain additives and is not as effective. If you do have to use it check the label to verify the amount of IPA. The higher the percentage of IPA the better

As always with electronics, especially surface mounted pcb be gentle when handling and especially when brushing away the corrosion. You do not want to remove any components from the board. Remove the shields that may be covering some components as the water may have got in there. The ends of any flex cables and their connectors need to be cleaned as well
Hopefully after you have done all this the phone might possibly work correctly again.

That way you will know the cost of the repair as it may vary depending on your location. If you decide to do this, do it sooner than later.

I experienced something similar, a few days after it was completely dry, my cellphone returned to normal, but one month later I experienced the same thing, namely:
1. The cellphone can still make sound when opening YouTube, Instagram, games, etc
2. black cellphone screen
3. the menu on the cellphone can still be clicked, I can feel it like pressing a button, to scroll through an application, etc
The mechanic said it was caused by battery damage which was indicated by the cellphone screen turning yellow due to overheating
Question, should I replace the battery too or just the LCD?

@muhammadtaq9317 sounds like your phone is running into issues with corrosion. You do want to clean the circuit board properly then replace the battery and possibly the screen.
