How to avoid spark on ribbon cable above battery connector?
Some people have spark on the first step of doing any repair on switch lite ,how to avoid it?

Hi,
Make sure that the device is turned off
Avoid using metal tools to disconnect the ribbon cable, use an opening tool or a spudger
Use anti static gloves (supplier example only) especially if you perspire a lot (sweaty fingers)

It should minimize any but there may always be one as there is always power on the systemboard. The power button is not a power isolating button.
Think of the device as being in an extremely low power state when off and not that it is totally disconnected from any power.
Disconnecting the ribbon cable is opening the circuit where a very small amount of current is still flowing.
By using the appropriate tools and safeguards, you're doing all that you can do.
It is the same with mobile phones etc. There you have to heat them up to be able to remove the screen before you can even get to the battery
