Hi, I see you sell the part for replacing the lightning port on a 12 pro max, but I can’t find and ifixit guide on the subject, is one available?
I’ve had the phone since launch, it’s now stopped charging unless placed in a specific position, I’ve cleaned the port, tried multiple cables and chargers with no luck, I’ve only ever used MFI certified anker or apple cables. Is there anything else I can try?

As @danj had said ,it’s probably time for a new lightning port
However
When you cleaned it did you clean it properly,I suggest you look at it again and use a pair of fine tipped tweezers or a seeing needle to clean it and finish it off with some isopropyl alcohol
Iv seen many lightning ports that claim to have been cleaned but they aren’t cleaned properly
If that doesn’t work it’s time for a new port

How do I request a guide on how to do this from ifixit? It makes no sense to me that they sell the part but have no guide
Unfortunately I think all you can do is request they make one over on ifixit meta(linked below)
If it comes to replacing the port I can get you one if you would like but it won’t be from ifixit:-)

I just tried the isopropyl alcohol and fine tipped tweezers and was shocked how much rubbish came out, I’ve never had so much in there before and have always managed to clean it with just tweezers. It seems to be charging much better! Thank you so much for your help!

As Said By Dan, I don't think any other option exist better try replacing the post before it transcending

Glad to hear you got your phone working again without having to replace the charging port!
Just for future reference for you or anyone else looking for a guide, although there isn't one here in iFixit yet, there is a French site called SOSav that does have a very usable guide for replacing the iPhone 12 Pro Max charging port. There are some idiosyncrasies in the translation such as calling flex cables 'tablecloths' and Phillips screws 'cruciform', but outside of those it's very usable.
