I have a 2012 VW Golf 6, 1.4 TSI, petrol automatic. While driving the dashboard just cuts out like it blanks out. The next thing is it cuts out while an attempt to start the car is made.

I have similar problem and it’s now getting worse, upto now it takes me 30mins to try get the car to start ,diagnosis is not pointing to anything specific just lack of communication from IPC (cluster)

hi,
you need to check the battery , the earth cable from battery to body and body to gearbox/engine, the fuses and relays, sensors for weak connection or moisture. check for loose/damaged wiring to the cluster. hope these tips will be useful. niel
