my finger print wont functioning and disappear on my settings. i using xiaomi 11 lite

I had to send the phone back to Xiaomi, bad figerprint scanner.
It's a common issue.

I had the same problem with fingerprint sensor not working and then after some months the power on/off switch has been gone to the other world.
I have bought a new one and changed it following iFixit guides. Now all it is working.

after removing the bcakcover you need to remove the plastic antenna group and then you have to carefoully peel the battery without damagin it. Then you are able to remove the old fingerprint button/flat after removing the metal piece maintaining the button in place. Take care to deeply clean the housing where the button works and to properly put the new one in the hole.
I got a fingerprint sensor from aliexpress and the problem was fixed. It needs care during assembly, there is a metal piece that holds the button which compresses the tape, it's probably the reason of the fingerprint malfunction
