Why is my keypad not working?

@ransonmugalla take a look at this guide Itel 2163 Disassembly - iFixit Repair Guide Step 4 (not the greatest images but it should work) shows the membrane and the contacts for your keypad. Clean the membrane and the contacts with an eraser. I like to use the erasers that are at the end of a pencil. If that does not work for you, check ideas like this one as well as on here for a deeper repair. Looks like this is a common issue with that model.

While you work on your phone and repair the keypad, take lots of good pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
