Bios security lockout reset
Hello, so the story goes.
My brother had his laptop stollen, a few months later he got it back from the police after it was recovered. But ever since he hasn't been able to use it because it has a bio's security lock on it. It immediately requires a bios password on start up. Can not access anything else. Pressing "Alt +R" not "Alt + home + R" does nothing. Nor do holding "ESC" or "F2" on start up do anything.
It only present's this screen on booting up. Nothing else.
The laptop doesn't have a CMOS battery as part of the motherboard or otherwise.
Can someone please assist. I'm starting to run out of options here. I really don't want to have no choice but replace the motherboard
Update (06/10/23)
Hello, thanks for the help but unfortunately the motherboard looks completely different to the above mentioned video and article.
It has a integrated ram and looks like this.

Hello,
I’m assuming before it was stolen there was no BIOS password, that whoever stole it probably put that on there.
Have you reached out to Asus at all? Manufacturers sometimes have work arounds for this but not guaranteed.

Hello, my brother had put a bios password on it before it was stolen. But that password is invalid.
