Abs light is on

I'm looking for help with abs repair, the light has been on for a long time, the van runs good but I'm hoping to fix instead of ignoring I had to get a new transmission and the local mechanic couldn't figure out what the abs issue was

There are many reasons why your ABS light might be on. In order to read the codes, you need a scanner that can read those code, which will give you a place to start. The most common reasons for ABS problems is a defective sensor or ABS module.
