My TV sometimes starting start OK sometimes can see horizontal lines

Block Image

TV 65" intermittently can start OK and could work for many hours until I shut it down. Next time it could show horizontal lines moving down and it will not respond to any remote buttons, only Power. I have to restart TV several times and again it could work in normal way. I replaced Main Board with RCA board and now have splash screen with RCA logo, but problem stays. Replaced T-Con board - no change. Disconnected IR sensor and connected two wires with switch for ON-OFF control - no change. Power supply board checked and power is good. This is very strange problem for me. The only thing I did not replaced is screen and long board on the bottom of the TV with all the screen wiring. Please help.

Could you post a photo of the issue? More importantly, when you checked the power supply board was it checked while the TV was functioning normally or while it was this "horizontal lines moving down" issue?

I would recommend repeating your power board test when the TV is working properly, and then power cycling the TV multiple times as necessary to get the TV not working properly and then testing again and seeing if it is still outputting power the same.

It sounds to me like a power issue of some kind that is intermittent, so verifying that the power supply is outputting power, either properly or improperly, during the issue occuring is important to confirm or deny.

I just check voltages on power board. They are completely the same in both cases. Connector 2 +12.19, Connector 4 ADJ = 2.28, BK-ON = 2.84, and two pins are =12.18v

@alex38350 horizontal lines are never caused by any of the boards other than the LCD driver boards (long board on the bottom of the TV with all the screen wiring). It is not replaceable and is considered part of your panel. It sounds like your panel driver is shortening out the TV. Since your error is intermittently, check all the ribbon cables going to the board, as well as those ribbon cables going to the LCD. Be careful, they are "flimsy" and can tear off your panel. That would be bad. Post some pictures of all of that with your Question. That way we can see what you see.

@alex38350 top to bottom is vertical and that is a difference. Like I said, we'll have to see what is going on. Check the boards for any scorch marks, anything that looks like it may get to hot. The more we can see the better. This "any remote commands are blocked, only shut down" since you already replaced the boards, comes most likely from the panel.

Retake that picture and focus a bit. Not sure what you got going on there, but looks "odd"

When TV starts good, it can work for hours until I shut it down. I even tried to push a little all connectors on the long bottom board, but it will still works until shutdown.

Lines actually starts from the bottom and top and quite fast top lines moving down. Splash screen is still visible through the lines but any remote commands are blocked, only shut down.

Do you have any idea how to reset TV to factory defaults? Maybe it could help. TV is Proscan PLED6538-UHDSM

Two small connectors are high voltage to backlight.

@alex38350 yes but do the look scorched? Zoom in
