It can just be that the RAM needs to be reseated. I had the same problem on my ThinkPad, but reseating the RAM fixed the issue.

If it's the correct ram to start with.
@tltq we need to know the exact model of your laptop as well as the exact type of your memory module. This sounds like an incompatibility issue
