How to break pin lock

If you've forgotten your pin code you can do a Hard reset via the recovery menu options which will wipe the phone and remove the pin lock however you will need to login to your Google account that was previously used on the phone to continue to setup your phone after the reset is done.

To do a hard reset via the recovery menu please use the button combination as follows:

With the phone powered off, HOLD (Power + Vol ⬆️ + Home) buttons until you see the Samsung logo on the screen then release the buttons. The phone should now be in recovery Menu. From the recovery menu use the Vol+ & Vol- buttons to select the option you want and use the power button to select it.

• Remember doing a hard reset of your phone will wipe all data on the phone and cannot be recovered. Make sure you have your data backed up prior to doing a hard reset. Doing this Will activate factory reset protection on the phone and you will need to login with the Google account previously used on the device to be able to continue set up on the phone so do not use this method unless you know the Google account that was previously used to sign in on the phone!
