SIM-Card reader is damaged
So, hello guys
I just bought a used Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9250. Everything works fine except of the SIM-card reader. When I pulled out the Microsimcardadapter I damaged two of the pins (contacts).
My question: How can I fix that? Is there a way to fix it without changing the simcardreader? Do I have to buy a new simcardreader? Where could I buy a simcardreader?
Thank you very much for answers!

Exact same thing happened to me, I took it to a shop but Samsung UK simply refused to ship the part to the shop I took it to here in California. Instead they shipped the shop a samsung galaxy sII skyrocket HD sim reader, which they said was the same part as the one in the Galaxy Nexus HSPA+ GSM but when they installed it, the part was too wide and simply does not work. BTW the simreader is soldered so you would have to get a solder machine if you did get the part. I have emailed and called Samsung UK and it appears that the part is not common here in the US and that it is a narrow type sim reader. I'm still in process for them to let me ship the whole phone to the UK and have it repaired, but they have told me that they do not ship back Internationally, so Im in quit a bind... If anyone out there can help us get the part please tell us...

Hey i have the same problem with my nexus and took it to the samsung authorized repair shop in Montreal "service absolut" and eventhough i told them what was the problem they charged me $35 for an assesment (so stupid but at the end it was either that or they were not going to look at my phone)..a couple of mins ago they called me and told me that they will charge me $350 + tax to repair the phone.. THATS CRAZY!! i paid $340 for the brand new phone!..Did any of you found a solution to this problem or a place where we can ship for a decent price fix?????
Thanks!

Sorry no cheap fix.
Thanks for info about service absolut in Montreal.
I was just about to ship phone to them.
They told me the same thing about $35.00 fee.
I know what's wrong just tell how much to replace sim card tray or mother
Board.
They said they need to see phone first.
I've decided to sell phone for parts.
I recently purchased new phone. $350 is way too much to spend.
Thanks again for your info you saved me all the hassle and money for shipping.

No worries I'm glad the info was helpful... I sent my phone yesterday to a local cell repair shop to see if they can fix it, they will charge me $90 (still a bit over what i was thinking but a lot better than 350+tax) otherwise I will have to sell it in parts too... How much did you make by selling your phone in parts?
Ragards!
