Ice flap only opening intermittently

My LG LS63SPKG has recently started only opening intermittenly. I had the technician out and of course it worked fine when he was here. Sometimes if I reach up and move the flap a few times it starts working again. Any ideas? Also does anyone have instructions on how to remove the ice and water assembly from door to access the motor?
