Before I can answer your question, what is the make and model of your computer system?

Looks like they added it to the device category.

dell optiplex 9020 (all in one)

Hi @tsik64177,

How many times does each light blink e.g. white 2 orange 1 etc?

Hi @tsik64177

Try a power refresh and check if that resolves the problem.

Turn off the AIO if it is on and then disconnect the power from the AIO.

Open the AIO and remove the coin cell RTC battery from the motherboard.

Here's the owner manual that may help. Go to p.16 to view the procedure to remove/replace the coin cell battery.

Press and hold the AIO's Power button for 30 seconds and then release it.

Reinsert the coin cell battery (+ve side up as marked on the battery), reassemble the AIO, reconnect the power and turn it on and check if it now works OK.

If it starts OK you might get a message stating that the date and time are incorrect. This is normal as the above procedure has reset the BIOS back to its factory default settings. Once the date and time have been corrected the message won't appear the next time the AIO is started. If you have changed any user definable BIOS settings to suit whatever system requirements you had, they will have to be changed back again also.

i already did that but thanks for your time!!!

@tsik64177 It could be a bad hard drive, DVD drive, etc. that is causing the problem. Try disconnecting all and see if you can get into the BIOS. If yes connect one component at a time until you can't get into BIOS. That is the defective component.

@aactech i already did that too and nothing happened, i also tried a new ssd and still nothing, i am starrting to believe its a bios chip

@tsik64177 This is a very long shot. Many years ago I had a computer that would not turn on. I unplugged the mains power, took out the CMOS/RTC/coin battery, disconnected devices as above, discharged with power button and forgot about it for a few days. Came back to it, put CMOS battery in, plugged in mains power and pressed the power button - low and behold it started up fine.

The only other thing I can think of is one of those PCI test cards that display the voltages and the post code numbers.

Good luck.

@aactech thank you very much!
