Replacement screen not working
Hi, laptop cant detect new screen. I also installed it without removing the battery since the guide i followed didnt either.

It's possible you shorted something by not removing the battery. In general, even if the guide doesn't say it, you want to make sure there's no power to the electronic components. Powering the device off isn't enough since residual power can still be supplied by the battery.
One way to rule this out is to turn on the computer by pressing the power button and connecting the device to an external monitor. If the external monitor shows a signal then you probably just have a bad display or something related to the connector on the board. Another way might be to reinstall the old screen if you still have it handy and the display is actually working.

External monitor works, old monitor (kind of) works. Tried seeing if backlight is bad but cant see anything (which would make sense since the laptop cant detect it).
If the backlight is bad, in most cases you can still see an image if you shine a light closely at it. Most devices can't tell that a backlight has gone out and will at least send an image to a display device.
When you say the old display works, what exactly do you mean by that? What drove you to replace the display in the first place?

Ahem, so it works... fully no issues.
All ive done is nothing... just booted it up for the lols and it works now... im speechless. Maybe its an introverted monitor?
