My DVD says "loading" and then says "bad disc"

@robertsmal82434 typically when a DVD isn't loading your disc or the laser that is reading the disc, is either scratched or dirty. Try using a different disc. If the DVD still doesn't load, you might have to clean or replace your laser. I would try to clean the lens by using a cotton swab and alcohol and then gently cleaning the surface of the lens. Of course, you can also try those commercially available Laser Lens cleaners that you can get at pretty much any larger department store etc. Use these guides CyberHome CH-DVD 300 to work on it. Something like this video will show you more of the inside of the optical drive.
