Fingerprints sensor quit after battery replacement.

I purchased a new battery to give some life to my aging Samsung Galax Note 10 (N970U). After completing the replacement process, I tested the phone and fingerprint sensor is not functioning. It shows fingerprint but does not recognize anything. Also, in biometrics and security settings I get error if I try to add a fingerprint. I have verified connectors and all seem ok. i might get a replacement connector if i could figure out the one used for fingerprint.
