How to factory reset

I can't get it to factory reset.

  1. Sign out
  2. Press and hold ctrl+shift+alt+r in the sign in menu
  3. Press Reset
  4. Then select Powerwash
  5. Sign in and use

Also why doe you need to factory reset it?
