Replace the LCD panel

Hello guys,

I have a Macbook Pro Touch Bar from 2016 and the screen isn't working.

I suspect the flex cable is damaged so I need to replace the display assembly.

When looking for replacement parts on the internet I see that you can buy the LCD panel without the aluminum cover and it's cheaper.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any tutorial on how to replace it and don't want to go down that hole without guidance.

Is it doable realistically or should I just buy the whole display assembly ?
