Why am I getting this battery message
I just replaced by battery charged it to full charge + 2 hours and I get a message that the battery 's capacity is significantly reduced.

Can you tell us the exact model you have. Go to About This Mac and copy off the info there. How about installing this gem of an App CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the Apps main screen so we can see what’s happing while you have the charger plugged in, post it here so we can see too!

CoconutBattery will not run with macOS 11.7.9. it requires macOS 12.4 or later. I have the MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) , Processor 2.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 , Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 , Startup Disk Hard Drive, Graphics Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB , Ser # CO2P52RSG3QP.

@jcm12681 - The older version works. Download CoconutBattery 3.9.18. Slide down to the bottom of the URL page I posted you’ll find it there.
I’ve updated your system info so we can aim you to the needed guides. But getting the CoconutBattery snapshot is what we need to understand what needs fixed.
