screen has frozen on start up
my phone has frozen on start up and will not boot

Try a forced shutdown on your phone by holding the power button, if the phone still does not turn off remove the back and take out the battery.
If the problem still remains please let me know and I shall provide further assistance :-)
Update
1 Press the "Alt," "Caps," and "Delete" keys at the same time. This will perform a soft reset of your BlackBerry. The BlackBerry device will reboot. If the frozen screen doesn't disappear, proceed to Step 2.
2 Locate the "Reset" button on the back of the smartphone (the button may be under the battery cover or on the bottom).
3 Press the button by using the tip of pin or paperclip. This will perform a hard reset of your phone. No data will be lost.
4 Power on your BlackBerry device. The frozen screen should be fixed.

i have done what you said but still nothing
If you try the updated answer, that might fix the issue at hand
where is the reset button?
I done that and will not work still frozen what I can do next can you tell me.

my phones stops at the white BLACKBERRY screen also i can see the alt and caps mark on the top if i click on them and if i leave it 5 mins the screen sleeps as if its open even the alt del caps reset doesnt work also it cannot be read on desktop manager

if you have blackberry desktop manager you can open it, connect you blackberry device to your computer,wait until its finished initializing, a pop up appear to repair device but all these will be done without the battery being in the phone, when u click on repair the computer checks for an update and asks if you want to install click on yes,then it starts downloading.
after installing you now replace the battery. and wait for the reboot

I have the same problem. The tech I spoken said that theres a problem with the hardware. He said he would check it first where will be the problem is. Can anybody fix the booting problem with a replace of a hardware?

i have a bb bold 9700 .. it goes into loading screen with the blackberry logo .. the loading bar gets to the very end BUT then it just sits there like that forever.. never going into the menu itself.. i have way too much data to just do a factory reset SINCE i dont have a backup of any of it... how do i get it to start ? anything at all i can do ?
