How to add more ram to the laptop

There is only one memory slot in the laptop so depending on which laptop variant you have will depend on whether the laptop supports a maximum of 20GB or 24GB of ram.

The i3 UMA variant has 4GB of on board ram which is not removable so all you can add is a 16GB DDR4 2666MHz SODIMM module giving 20GB in total i.e. 4 +16

The i5 and i7 variants have 8GB of onboard memory which is not removable so all you can add is a 16GB DDR4 2666MHz SODIMM module giving 24GB in total i.e. 8 +16

Go to the bottom of p.15 (p.16 of 77 pdf) of the service manual to view the procedure to remove replace the secondary¹ memory module.

¹ The primary memory is the onboard non-removable memory
