Will Not Charge After Battery Replacement

I replaced the display screen and the battery. Everything works great EXCEPT the battery will no longer charge? It is at about 7% and I can't get it to charge. I have checked all the connectors but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

The phone is not recognizing when a usb cable is plugged in and, therefore, does not charge. I have check the usb connector which is good and I'm using known good usb cables.

The phone has always been in excellent condition except for a crack in the glass which is why I replaced. I decided to do the battery while I had it opened up. I can't figure out why changing the battery display would affect the charging?
