Hi,
I have a macbook pro from mid 2014 A1398 with MacOS Big Sur, and my battery died - it will not charge, but i can turn it on with the magsafe brick. At the same time my screen stopped working (only displays over HDMI), Can the battery cause that issue?

Can you pop off the bottom cove and inspect display cable.
