When I got my Steam deck about a year ago, I would get 8-9 hours in half life 2 and 2.5 hours in cyberpunk 2077, now I get around 6.5-7 hours in half life 2, and 2 hours in cyberpunk, should I replace my battery soon, or wait a bit to replace it, the system still says its at 100% percent health but I don't believe that number entirely.

You probably shouldn't replace your battery right now. All battery age, but if there's only about an hour's difference in battery life compared to when it's new, replacing the battery now would be a waste. A new battery's both expensive and pretty hard to replace if it's your first time fixing stuff. If it works, it works. Wait until the battery life's significantly short or when it starts to bother you a lot, then replace it.

That's what I thought as well, I've repaired adhesive batteries before, but I agree that I should probably wait to replace it.

could be dried thermal paste causing the CPU temperature to rise and requiring higher fan rpm to cool the console, drawing more power and decreasing battery life. Does your Steam deck feel hot when gaming?

Not really, if sits around 65-70 degrees when playing a really heavy game like cyberpunk
