When swapping outlets, the Xbox needs time with power to turn on. Instantly on and off until it decides to fully turn on typically 5-15 minutes.
Its the first one or two times then never have the problem until I swap plugs again. This is how I received the console.
Its any outlet, and a new Xbox powercord

I’m afraid it’s related to the power supply…
I would test it with a new one and see how that goes.
It’s probably the power supply causing this.

Strange thats my only symptom. I was leaning towards the battery that saves bios/etc.
The power button makes sound
On then off unless it sits plugged in
After initial turn on, never happens again
No safe boot but responds
Controller turns xbox on then off.
0 problems during playing
Hmm, can you check the power settings?? You have “quick boot” and this will instantly turn it on. But when you selected the most power saving option, it will turn it fully off and turning it on again, will take time… When you swap from outlets it will completely turn off, so it will take time before it boots again. Long boot times could be caused by the HDD. Since you don’t have problems while playing games or when you just leave it in the wall outlet, it could be this… sorry
