Battery keep running down
Why battery keep losing g charge
좋은 질문입니까?
The most likely cause is a parasitic current draw; you need to disconnect the negative battery clamp and use a DVM set for milliamps. Plug the test leads into the jacks for current testing, connect the negative lead to the negative battery cable, and touch the positive lead to the battery post. The reading should not exceed about 50 milliamps.
An alternative quick test: Charge the battery and leave the negative cable disconnected overnight, connect the cable in the morning, and if it starts ok, test for parasitic draw.
The first thing I would check is the alternator, a shorted diode or some other problem in the alternator is fairly common. Disconnect the alternator and repeat the current draw test.
