Controller won’t connect?

My controller for some reason will not connect with my PlayStation. I plug it in and it recognizes the controller is there but the controller doesn’t work after the log in page even when it’s charged. How can I fix this?

Now when I plug it in the light turns orange but the controller doesn’t turn on.
