I forget my pattern password

Assuming you know the Google account and/or Samsung account info for the phone (maybe confirm this by signing in on another device) you can factory reset which will wipe the pin.

You'll have to sign into your Google/Samsung account to get it set up and it will wipe your data, so while you are checking to see if you can get signed in on something else, maybe check to ensure pics were backed up to Google Photos, and any other apps you regularly use have been backed up.

Then reset from the recovery menu by holding Power + Volume UP until you see Samsung logo, then let go of Power button. You'll get to the recovery screen & choose Factory Data Reset. Make sure phone has a decent charge (30-50%) first.

Also alot of people struggle to remember things like pins & passwords when they are TRYING to remember them. Maybe do something else like a jog or going to sleep---sometimes when you mindlessly reach for your device you'll instinctively type in the right pin.

Also if you have 'find my device' enabled you may be able to change your pin remotely from a web browser... It used to be shown when you tried to locate a device but not sure if still available. Good luck!
