8BitDo Pro 2 Repair

The 8BitDo Pro 2 is a second-generation wireless controller released in April 2021. It was designed for multiple-platform gaming on devices such as Nintendo Switch, macOS, Windows PC, Android, and iOS. The controller features a user-centered design that includes two programmable back buttons, customizable profiles, and a mode-switching toggle that allows easy connectivity between devices.

The controller includes a rechargeable battery, rumble vibrations, and motion controls. Some versions include Hall effect joysticks.

As an upgrade to the 8BitDo SN30 Pro+, the Pro 2 remains part of the current line-up. Some common issues users have reported include joystick drift, unresponsive buttons, and connectivity problems. There have been no manufacturer recalls for this device.

The 8BitDo Pro 2 is identified by the “Pro 2” label on the front of the controller, as well as on a label under the removable battery. The specific model number 80GJ is also printed on this label.

It features a rear mode-switching toggle and two back buttons, which distinguish it from other controller models. Versions with Hall effect joysticks are identified on the packaging or product listing.
