Background
The Acer Aspire R11 R3- 131T- C1Z5 is a convertible notebook laptop that was part of the R11 series released in April of 2015. The R11 series was the first line of lightweight notebooks that Acer produced. Acer designed these with a blue or white plastic foamy exterior. The notebooks have a standard touchable HD screen (1, 366 x 768 pixel resolution), installed keyboard, and touchpad. It runs off of a quad core intel Pentium processor. The notebook has a 500 GB hard drive and uses eMMC (Embedded MultiMediaCard) for inner storage. Within, it carries a 50 WH. This laptop has a 360 degree turnable screen that the laptop can switch to 4 viewing modes for the user: notebook, pad, display, and tent.
In 2009, Acer issued a recall on Acer Aspire models : AS3410, AS3810T, AS3810TG, AS3810TZ and AS3810TZG. These models were reported to have microphone cables that would overheat when repeated pressure was applied to the left palm rests. As a result of this, the outside case would deform and cause the system to malfunction. Acer’s safety recall program replaced the microphone cable in faulty computers to eliminate the risk of overheating.
