The Aspire R7 is a unique hybrid laptop designed by Acer. The device runs Windows 8 on an Intel Core i5 processor with a 15.6” Full HD display. The touch screen rests on a patented Ezel hinge that that allows the user to transform from a standard laptop view to a touch notepad.

Acer launched a second model of the R7 that came with a faster processor for improved performance; however, the inverted keyboard and mouse pad layout seems to discourage most users from spending the same amount for this laptop as they would on a comparable product.

One of the latest models Acer has released is the R13. The new design offers dual hinges on the side instead of the single hinge in the center, which seems to be an improvement over the R7.

The model number (R7-572-6805) can be found on the manufacturer label underneath the display swivel arm.
