Background
The ASUS-L410MA-MH09-CA arrived on the market in the year 2020, boasting a lightweight compact computing machine. This device has a streamlined body and thin parts for portability. Because of this, many traditional features in other laptops are foregone in favor of a smaller machine.
A few features of this laptop are the number pad built into the touchpad, the NanoEdge display, and a hinge that allows the computer to lay completely flat at 180°. These features are all part of the intention to optimize the computer by giving the user more screen space and allowing them to have the number pad which is typically only available for plug and play keyboards.
Upon release, this computer typically cost about $250, and has since dropped in price due to a lesser demand. Additionally, it is one model in a series of notebook style computers called "VivoBooks" by ASUS. Several new models have since replaced this computer, in 2021 the VivoBook 15 series launched, replacing the L410 models in the market.
These computers are intended for students or hobbyists who don't need strong performance or display resolution. They're designed to be small and compact so as to fit into the backpacks of the younger audience they were marketed to, and do not excel with much more than average computing functions, such as word processing and internet browsing. That said, the compromise allows a longer lasting battery life for those who use their computer for extended hours.
Identification
This device is best identified using the sticker on the bottom of the machine, it will provide a serial number (S/N) and several other methods to identify the computer, but the easiest way to confirm is to see if the name of the device (ASUS L410MA-MH09-CA) will be listed on the same identification sticker. Additionally, if you open the windows menu (start button) and type “sys”, the option to look at the System Information should be available. This application will show you all of the specs on your computer as well as the device’s name (System Model), allowing you to confirm again.
