HMD Skyline Business Repair

The HMD Skyline Business Edition was launched in the UK, Europe, and Australia/New Zealand in July 2024 alongside the Skyline. (HMD is the maker of Nokia phones.) It follows the Pulse line released in April 2024 and the Vibe released in June 2024. Compared to the Pulse, Skyline Business Edition offers higher screen resolution, better cameras, and more memory and storage.

The Skyline Business Edition continues HMD’s efforts to make their smartphones user-repairable, which they began with the Nokia G310 5G, by introducing a new screw-driven opening mechanism.

The Skyline Business Edition is the same device as the Skyline except it is only available with 8 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage. It also comes with five years of security updates.

The HMD Skyline Business Edition can be identified by the model number TA-1600, which is printed on the back cover near the charging port. You can also find the model number by navigating to Settings > About phone. The Skyline Business Edition is only available in Twisted Black.

The HMD Skyline Business Edition is also identifiable by its cameras. It has three camera lenses arranged in a triangle. Two lenses are vertically stacked near the left side of the back cover. The third lens is situated to the right of these cameras, centered between them. The flash is above this third lens. The text “108 MP OIS” is printed below the third lens.

The bottom of the phone has a USB-C port, a SIM tray (which also has a slot for a microSD card), two speakers, and a single Torx screw. The sides of the phone house volume up/down buttons, a power button, a customizable button, and a fingerprint sensor.

Additionally, the external frame of the phone has nearly square corners instead of the rounded corners typical of smartphones.
