Lenovo IdeaPad N586 Repair

The Lenovo IdeaPad N586 contains components that are easy to replace.

• Memory: The Lenovo IdeaPad N586 comes standard with 8192 Mb, or 8 Gb of DDR3 memory. Up to 16 Gb of memory is possible.
• Hard Drive:The hard drive is a Western Digital Scorpio Blue 750 GB BPVT-24HXZT3 running at 5400 rpm. The laptop can be upgraded up to a 1 Tb hard drive.
• Battery: Replacing the battery does not require any tools; simply slide the latch on the bottom. It is a 48Wh lithium ion battery.
• Optical Drive: The disk drive is an OptiArc DVD RW AD-77 40H

When you open the laptop there should be a small sticker located on the palm rest to the right of the track pad that shows the processor included, which will be the AMD A6 or AMD A8. If the sticker is not there and the back of the laptop does not show the model information, then turn on the laptop. After turning on the laptop go to the start menu, then computer, click on system properties, and you can find the processor information. The processor should be AMD A6 or AMD A8 for the Lenovo Ideapad N586.

The Lenovo Ideapad N586 can be identified by looking at the bottom of the laptop. On the bottom near the optical drive on the back panel is a small clear rectangle that lists the name of the laptop, model name and number, along with the serial number and power information.
