Identification and Background
The NETGEAR WGT624 v3 wireless router was released in 2005. It has been upgraded from the previous version (WGT624 v2) in its ability to be used in conjunction with NETGEAR's PCI Adapter (WG311T), and USB 2.0 Adapter (WG111T).
In order to correctly identify your device, check to make sure that the specific model number is WGT624 v3. This number can be found on the top right corner of the sticker located on the bottom of the device.
The NETGEAR WGT624 v3 has several key features which make it unique. The router offers site blocking security, built in 4-port 10/100 Mbps switch, and 802.11 wireless networking at up to 108 Mbps. It also has a built in firewall that uses stateful packet inspection to defend against hackers.
