The camera records in 720p video, and boasts a 3-megapixel camera. The Dropcam Pro has night-vision capability, and two-way talk through a small speaker and microphone inside the camera. The Nest Dropcam Pro was released in October of 2013.

This model was replaced by the Nest Cam in June of 2015 which has higher video resolution and better features.

The Nest Dropcam Pro can be identified by its jet-black exterior and distinctive teardrop shape. The 3-megapixel camera is housed in a plastic case that is about 2 inches in diameter, and can be mounted on an included base that has some magnetic capability. There is a white “dropcam” logo under the camera lens on the front of the camera.
