Shark ION X40

The Shark ION X40 is a cordless upright vacuum that can convert to a handheld vacuum. It is battery-powered and has two brush rolls instead of the typical one. The selling price for the Shark ION x40 is $299.99. In March of 2023, the Shark ION x40 was ranked as one of the best cordless vacuums due to its efficiency and convenience. The intended demographic of this device is young to middle aged adults; it is not ideal for those who have issues with standing or bending for extended periods of time, but the lightweight feature allows it to be easily handled by a wide group of individuals.

The Shark ION x40 is part of the Shark device family and is part of a line of cordless handheld devices. The Shark ION X40 was replaced by the Shark Vertex Pro, another lightweight cordless device.

A long neck connects the handle with the battery to the brush and device opening, along with the larger filter. The height from the head to handle is 45 inches, and the cleaning path is 8.6 inches. The Shark ION x40 is cordless and lightweight, and requires the user to manually move the body in the areas to be cleaned. The model number is located on the barcode of the device's box, as well as on the QR code label which is located on the bottom of the back of the vacuum and battery. Offered in only one color, this model is dark gray/black. Marked at the top with Shark, this model is identifiable by its sleek design, small head, and red turning brush.
