This guide is to help teach anyone in need of replacing the battery in their Razer Blade 2014 laptop, model number RZ09-0195. For safety before the repair process, make sure the laptop is in a powered off state before you begin.

Laptop batteries can deteriorate after a certain number of years, so replacing the battery is actually more cost-effective and less complicated than purchasing a new computer.

Aging batteries can cause problems ranging from a noticeable decrease in storage capacity to a bulging of the battery in the case of a heavier battery.

Note: Make sure to place the laptop on a clean and dust-free platform before starting. Keep hands dry during the operation. The tweezers used should not be fully metallic tweezers to prevent the occurrence of conduction current; computer-specific tweezers are needed.

Use a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the ten screws on the laptop's backplate.

Squeeze the sides of the backplate with your hands and lift up the backplate.

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the five screws from the battery.

Use tweezers to detach the silver connector that is attached to the battery with an orange cable.

Make sure the black cable retaining flap has been completely lifted upwards before pulling the blue cable outwards.
Use tweezers to gently lift the retaining flap upwards.
Use tweezers to gently pull the white cable outward.
Take out the old battery and place the new one in the position of the 5 screw holes.
