Remove the side panel

Make sure to power off the computer and unplug the power cord before working on the computer.
When opening the case, make sure to not do so while on carpet. This can cause static build-up in your body that can fry the motherboard.
After verifying the hard drive has failed (or is failing), remove the screw (T15) that holds the side cover on the case.
